In-House (Recreational) Program Overview
The Cheshire Soccer Club in-house recreational soccer program is built for local kids, local families, and the pure joy of the game. Players learn in an age-appropriate environment where fun, confidence, teamwork, and steady skill development come first. Every session and game is powered by dedicated volunteer coaches and administrators who bring energy, encouragement, and heart to the field.
This is a community program, not a tryout program. Players of all abilities are welcome, and every team depends on parents stepping forward to help make the season happen. The best seasons are built by families who jump in, cheer loudly, help generously, and make the field feel like a place kids cannot wait to return to each week.
- Volunteer coaches receive support, simple practice ideas, and guidance.
- No advanced soccer background is required.
- The goal is to create a safe, fun, organized, high-energy experience.
- Kids remember the adults who showed up for them.
Coaching your child’s team is one of the best ways to share the season together. You get the car rides, the practice laughs, the Saturday moments, and the chance to be part of memories your child will carry long after the season ends.
Grassroots soccer gives children one of their first team experiences, where they learn how to listen, encourage teammates, handle mistakes, celebrate others, and build friendships through shared effort. Because the game is local, simple, and community-based, players connect with friends while parents connect with each other from the sideline, the practice field, and the ride home. The lifelong lessons belong to the players, but the lifelong experiences are shared by the families who show up, cheer, coach, and grow with them.
The field location is Quinnipiac Recreation Area, 1325 Cheshire Street, Cheshire, CT
