The Cheshire Soccer Club would like to thank you for participating in our U6 youth soccer program. We are looking forward to an exciting and fun season. We have designed the program to introduce your child to the wonderful sport of soccer and teach him or her the basic skills that will allow them to develop as soccer players.
The program will meet on Sundays from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The program will be held at the Quinnipiac Recreational Area in Cheshire.
The format of the program will be the same each week. We will start every session with 30 minutes of skills development. Our Director of Coaching, DJ Pereira, has designed an engaging curriculum that will increase the confidence of the young player and keep them motivated to continue playing. The training sessions will be led by coaches that we have hired and who have an extensive experience playing and teaching the game of soccer.
Following the instructional session, the players will separate into their teams and play a game against another team. The purpose of the games is to give the kids an opportunity to use the skills they have learned during the instructional session in a less-structured setting. Scores of games will not be kept and players will be expected to receive equal playing time.
What to Bring
Each week your child should wear shin guard and cleats. They should bring water and a size 4 soccer ball. The Club has a limited supply of soccer balls in case someone forgets to bring a ball. Please make sure that your child is not wearing any jewelry.
We strive to constantly improve our programs and your feedback is essential for us to identify elements of the program that need our attention. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our coordinator of in-house soccer Xavier Lederer at
