The Cheshire Soccer Club would like to thank you for participating in our U10 Soccer Program. We are looking forward to an exciting and fun season. Our league promotes all of the positive aspects of the great sport of soccer while also seeking to develop your son or daughter’s overall soccer abilities. We strive to foster a positive, non-competitive and small-group oriented atmosphere to offer your child the ideal environment in which to develop their soccer skills.
Teams will practice once per week and play games on Saturday afternoons. The program will be held at the Quinnipiac Recreational Area in Cheshire.
Our Director of Coaching, DJ Pereira, has designed an engaging curriculum that will help the players build and advance their skills and to prepare them for U11 and beyond. Coaching is done by parent volunteers.
The games give the kids an opportunity to use the skills they have learned during practice in a less-structured setting. The purpose of small-sided games is to maximize the number of touches that each player will have with the ball and the number of opportunities each player will have to experience and learn from the decision making process that necessarily accompanies those touches. Scores of games will not be kept and players will be expected to play at least half the game.
What to Bring
Each week your child should wear shinguards and cleats. They should bring water and a size 4 soccer ball. Please make sure that your child is not wearing any jewelry.
We strive to constantly improve our programs and your feedback is essential for us to identify elements of the program that need our attention. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our in-house coordinator Xavier Lederer at
